Limited, with a history that originates from 1991 -as a joint
venture with Tones Inc of Des Moines, IA, USA, principally
to process spices at source to the exacting standards that
Tones Inc required. Since then, Quality has been the hallmark
of the much acclaimed products supplied from the Indian stable
of Cochin Spices. |

comes under the umbrella of Associated British Foods (ABF)
of UK and is strategically within and as part of the AB Mauri
Group. |

| Today, Cochin Spices
has grown into a world class supplier of quality ground spices.
The business likes to think of itself as "custom-grinders"
to the Sauces and Seasonings and Food Service Industries across
the world - a fact borne out by it's loyal customer base spread
across the globe.

| Cochin Spices has a fully automated
plant that is both ISO 9001:2000 as well as HACCP certified,
in addition to being granted an "Excellent" rating
for Sanitation & Hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices
by the 'American Institute of Bakers.' The plant has the capability
to process a wide range of Spices to customer-specified quality
parameters, and conforming to the exacting standards of ASTA,
USFDA, UK Food Safety Act, and EU regulations. |

| The factory has a capacity to process more
than 7500 MT of various Spices, Spice Grinds and Spice mixes
every year. These products are shipped in a wide range of
customer-specified pack sizes, ranging from 50 lb or 25 Kg
laminated paper bags to 500 Kg Bulk bags or "Super-sacks".
On request, it also has the capability to Sterilise Black
and White Pepper (and their derivatives) using steam, and
all spices using Ethylene Oxide gas. Cochin Spices takes prides
in delivering "on time, every time" and most of
the customers in the book are those who have trusted the expertise
of Cochin Spices for several years. |
